GLASS FACTORY BODA 8/10 2019 - 19/1 2020

The project started with a donation of lab glass equipment from the governmental research institute RISE in Stockholm. The artists Evelina Dovsten & Kristin Larsson are making a study of the artistic practice and the artistic expression based on this newly found archive. 

- The material of labwear made us curious. Glass, a material that we both know so well here becomes something unfamiliar, far from the craft that we know. 

How will two artists with the same background of glassmaking and the same education relate to this material? What is an artistic expression?

The material is going to be divided between the two artists who are going to work with it separately and hidden from each other during the first phase of the project. Since the artists aren’t aloud to discuss their work with each other, You, as a visitor now have the opportunity to become their discussion partner and walk between the rooms and see the installations take shape.

On the 26.th of October 2019 the fabric separating the two rooms where taken down and Kristin Larsson and Evelina Dovsten revealed their interpretations for each other.
